Antique French ribbon trims. Probably dates from the early 1900's. Repeating geometric design done in a gold metal thread and outlined in a light grey silk thread. Along the sides you will see a repeat dot design done in an old pink thread. Cotton base in navy blue. 
 
 These ribbons were popular with the Dutch in the small village of Marken and were used as fasteners to hold an apron into place. You will see a metal hook at one end on each of the ribbons.
