Antique gold and silver work vestment embrodery. French in origin. Depicting a pelican feeding her young with rays of sun to the sides. All done on gold lame fabric. The pelican is done is silver metal thread which has now taken on a darker patina.

Condition
 
Some missing thread on one of the young pelicans center. A bit of wear at the edge of the crescent shaped motif just below the pelican. A break in two rays of the sun but stable.
