An early 1900's skein of French mesh ribbon. Silver metallic thread with a very fine polished black cotton thread (looks like silk). Repeating diamond design. The mesh can be spread out and will hold it's shape. Perfect for ribbon work projects, costumes etc.

The skein still has it's paper label which states that there are 25 meters. 
 
The width of the mesh is 
 
5 mm and will spread out to 1 cm
