Stunning emerald green color in this late 1800's moire velvet. Saved from an ecclesiastical cope. Cotton although it has the appearance of silk so it might b a mix. Moire design appears to have been pressed into the velvet. Medium weight so can easily be upscaled for soft furnishings or lighter upholstery work. It would of course make an incredible cape.  Photos are a good indication of color and condition.

The cope is actually 7 pieces sewn together and you can see the selvages at the back.
