A set of three pieces of 19th century gold work embroideries. Probably used on vestments at one time. Possibly a humeral veil or alter piece. Two long panels and one round panel.
Some of the finest and intricate gold work embroidery that we have found. Predominantly scrolled leaf motis with tiny bloosoms here and there.
The gold work has developed a warm patina and fairly even throughout.
Embroideries were done on an antique silk fabric backed with a linen for stability. You can see at the back of the embroideries that the metal threads have been stitched through the linen.
Photos are a good representation of actual color and condition.
