I've made this pillow using an antique Toile du Jouy "L' Amour et L' Amitie" or Love & Friendship fabric that use to be a part of a bed cover at one time. The toile dates from the early 1800's. A hand dyed Dutch linen dating from the same period has been used for the back. Hidden zipper crosses the middle of the back so the custom made feather filled insert can easily be removed for cleaning. The toile has been cleaned and stabilzed so it will last for years to come. I would recommend dry cleaning only in order to preserve the colors and condition. Photos are a good representation of actual color and condition.
