A panel of two different fabrics from the 19th century. Cottons. French in origin. The larger piece is a medium brown with a light brown pinstripe. The other piece is a roll print with medallion shaped motifs and a shielf at the center with long vines of florals and leaves down in picotage work. Shield like motifs and small blossoms have a blueish green center.
Full repeat on the roll print but missing some small areas.

Selvages can be seen at some of the seams.
Condition
Distressed with many large and small holesas well as many thin areas throughout.
Colors fairly consistant but vary slightly due to age and use. No stains.
The fabric has been given a long cold water soak to remove dust and dirt and a long cold water water using those famouse Marseille soaps without bleaching agents to freshen.
Since many of our fabrics are being reproduced we aim to preserve the color and integretity of the fabric.
