Two pieces of this 19th century French cotton print fabrics. Depicting florals and leaves in shades of red to pink with sage colored leaves and a bit of brown against what use to be a white background.

26 x 24 cm (actually two pieces of the same fabric hand seamed together. Selvage can be seen at the seams).
 
Condition
 
Very distressed with large and small holes in both pieces as well as thin areas. Heavily quilted at one time so you will see quilt lines. Background color has soiled evenly with age and use. Soiling may lift with a deeper cleaning if desired. 
 
The fabric has been given a cold water soak to remove dust and dirst and then a light light laundering using those famous Marseille soaps without bleaching agents. 
 
It is our aim to preserve and protect the orginal colors of the fabric since many of our fabrics are being currently reproduced.
