Recently acquired several of these late 1800's early 1900's French tambour embroideries that would be beautiful used as is or for upscaling garments and interior projects.
This example was made into a curtain. It has a hem at one end with a band of linen stitched across the seam which can be seen in the photos. Done on a finely woven white cotton muslin base. Large white motifs of stylized florals and leaves along the scalloped edges with smaller motifs of florals and leaves down the middle.
Gorgeous quality material.
