Vintage white cotton surplice or altar lace. French in origin. White. Cotton. Straight edge along the top with a scalloped edge along the bottom. Appears to be hand done. Nice quality with a good weight to it. Photos are a good representation of actual color.
Measurements
3 meters 28 cm in length.
The width is 7 cm from top of lace to bottom of scallop.
The border along the top measures 3.5 cm wide.
Condition
Used but still in good condition. No holes no stains. The only thing to note is that the border does not extend the entire length of the lace. It stops about 9 cm in from one end. In addition, the border has come loose at one end.
