A wide piece of early 1900's French silver metallic lace. Large repeating motifs of florals on a leafy stem motifs of leafy vines on along the bottom. Straight edge along the top with a scalloped edge along the bottom. Silver metal threads are woven into silver metal thread netted back: Nice weight and flow. Perfect for the lamshade makers, restoration work etc.
Photos are a good representation of actual color and condition.
Measurements
1 meter 40 cm
The width is
56.5 cm (from top edge to bottom of scalloped edge)
Condition
Overall very good condition.
I saw two tiny breaks in the netted back but nothing major and only needs a small stitch to close. Lace has developed a fairly even patina so antique silver in color which will look great with vintage projects.
